Do you hear what we hear? It’s the sound of the holidays arriving in Tinley Park, and you’re invited to join in on all the winter fun!
Harmony Square, Tinley Park’s new plaza at 6700 North Street, will be aglow in holiday magic when we light our beautiful 35-foot community tree at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.
We’ll also be opening the gates to our brand-new ice rink experience at 6:30 p.m. Rent our skates or bring your own and glide across the synthetic surface while holiday music plays and lights bathe the wintery grounds in the colors of the season! Warm up next to our cozy firepits or enjoy a game of curling on the rink. Carolers will be roaming Harmony Square from 6:30 to 8 p.m., so be sure to join in and sing some of your favorite holiday songs!
A holiday light show will run daily at the top of every hour in the evening starting in early December throughout the season, and the ice rink experience will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays to Thursdays; 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays; 4 to 10 p.m. Saturdays; and 4 to 9 p.m. Sundays from Nov. 21 to Feb. 15, except on holidays. Join us for a very special winter experience you won’t find anywhere else!
The fairytale continues with our annual Holiday Happenings from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 in Harmony Square. Step inside a large, heated tent and shop for holiday gifts at nearly 30 vendors selling everything from candy and clothing to candles and crafts. Enjoy live music and performances, take photos with Santa Claus from noon to 5 p.m. both days, hop aboard a horse-drawn carriage ride around Downtown Tinley, and skate across our synthetic ice rink. The magical weekend concludes with the Parade of Lights down Oak Park Avenue at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
