Harmony Square is back in action for its second summer, and it’s even bigger and better than last year (if you can believe it), with events on almost every day of the week! The packed programming schedule all begins on May 2 with Jazz Hits Tinley, a spring band show featuring four different local school jazz bands. After kicking things off on a high note, Harmony Square goes straight into a full lineup of weekly happenings that keep things lively all season long. Take game night outside at Wednesday night’s Games in the Square featuring games like jumbo Jenga and Connect Four. Make a little music of your own at Make Music Nights, starting the first Thursday in May, and come back throughout the summer for Make Music Night kids performances and dueling pianos show on select days each month. These weekly events are happening all summer long and even into the fall- we don’t choose just one season to have fun in Tinley Park!
Before we dive right into the heat of summer, the beginning of May is also
reserved for Mother’s Day celebrations. Just ahead of the big day is the Art & Garden Market on Saturday, May 9 at Harmony Square. This market is the perfect opportunity to shop with or for mom! Enjoy a vibrant day featuring nearly 60 vendors offering flowers, succulents, fine art, jewelry and more: plus, performances, presentations and crafts. To pair with the amazing handmade gifts you buy mom at the market, reserve a table at one of the many high-quality restaurants in town, many of which are offering specially curated menus for the occasion.
